Senate proposed budget on target with OFCCP’s request but much lower than the House approved proposal
On September 18, 2019 the Senate Committee on Appropriations released the FY2020 subcommittee chairman’s recommendations for the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations bill (draft bill).
The bill increased the DOL’s discretionary funding to $12.1 billion, which is $28 million higher than in FY 2019. OFCCP’s proposed portion is $103,467,000, only slightly below the agency’s requested amount of $103,576. In February 2019 the White House recommended $91.1 million for OFCCP and in June 2019, the House approved a Committee proposal for a $120 million budget for OFCCP.
