OutSolve's 20th Anniversary: The Future Is Bright

Jeremy Mancheski

Teamwork makes the dream work.

Funny thing about building a business…you realize at some point that it’s not about you, rather the great people who helped get you there. While there are many, many who have been referenced on this series of posts, there are surely many other deserving. I thought the final post of 2018 should reflect the thoughts of a few people who are integral to our success. Looking forward to 20 more years. Enjoy!

I am so proud to be a part of OutSolve. I truly enjoy coming to work every day, and supporting our ever expanding team. OutSolve prides itself on being customer service oriented and strives to offer the best experience to our clients. From a technology standpoint, anything that we can do to make OutSolve more effective and efficient, while continuing to provide comprehensive and compliant reports helps further that goal and is a win for both our clients and OutSolve. That’s my purpose and passion, and what I feel will best serve our customers well into the future. Congratulations, OutSolve, on the milestone, and I am looking forward to many great years yet to come.

Steve Claverie, VP, Technology - OutSolve employee since 2005

After being here for 17 years, I can honestly say that we are experiencing the best times of our professional lives. We, as a solid, strong, committed team, are forever evolving but right now our services are comprehensive, our infrastructure is state-of-the art, our staff is the best due to their experience, competence and enjoyment in serving our clients and each other. We have experienced successive record breaking years and are poised to have many more. Damn this is fun!

Eli St. Julien, VP, Sales - OutSolve employee since 2001

I have been with OutSolve for twenty years. Yes, TWENTY years. I have seen the company go through various logo colors and concepts, the employees go through various fashion trends, and its management grow older and grayer. What has not changed through it all is OutSolve’s unwavering support of its clients, but most of all its employees. We have been through some of the toughest life events and have come out stronger than before. Our dedication to the clients we serve unites each and every one of us; our bond with each other makes us the family that we are. I am proud to be part of the history and I hope to be part of a long, successful future.

Janine Walsdorf, Senior Consultant - OutSolve employee since 1999

For nearly 20 years I’ve been part of the OutSolve family. During that time I’ve seen our operations grow from a small office with a couple employees, to a multi-location corporation leading the affirmative action industry. This growth would not have been possible without a clear vision by leadership, a knowledgeable and devoted staff and the loyalty of clients. Over the past twenty years at OutSolve, I have grown both personally and professionally. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented and dedicated professionals in the business. As we move past this milestone, we do so with a continued direction. That includes the investment in talent and technology to provide a consistent, customer friendly experience for all of our business partners. Here’s to the next twenty years!

Patrick Savoy, VP, Operations - OutSolve employee since 2000

There is a reason why so many of us have come to OutSolve and stayed for many years. While clients evaluate OutSolve on the basis of costs and services provided to suit their immediate need, those of us who spend a lot more than 40 hours a week living and breathing what we do, have a different perspective as we are on the inside looking out. The reality is that our quality of life is entirely dependent on each other and our ability to do good work. The term family may seem cliché but like many career people, our weekdays are spent at work trying very hard to be good at what we do. When work life is poor, then everyone struggles and stress takes over our lives and tension bleeds into our home life. Conversely, when work life is good, then people can go home every day and happily focus on their family time without their attention being pulled back into problems at work. It’s that circle of life I tell you! I believe that is why someone like me settles in and focuses on being successful at OutSolve. I have worked in other environments where there is turnover and the lack of a cohesive vision, especially in leadership. Endless change that creates turbulence resulting in poor work-life balance. In those ever-changing environments, people are battling for stability and they often end up at odds with their co-workers or quitting to go find that balance. Been there, done that. Upon hitting a certain milestone birthday this year, I am pretty darn happy to be in a stable, successful environment where we are all rowing in the same direction. Change isn’t easy, and nothing is perfect, but this group takes take a ton of pride in being here for our clients and we think they like us too. At the end of the day, I can be at home with my adorable wife as I grill away with a glass of wine in my hand thinking about what neat things we can do next for our clients.

Chris Lindholm, VP, Compliance - OutSolve employee since 2011

I feel as though I am the youngster in the group as I have only been with the company for 3 ½ years. I joined OutSolve in 2014 to help manage the administrative side of the business. In my first week on the job I spent time as an observer at my first annual Client Seminar. In our post mortem review of the Seminar I shared with the team that it appears my job would be easy as there was really nothing for me to fix. I observed a staff that has a tremendous dedication to quality customer service, they loved the company they worked for and had strong personal relationships with their customers. Further I observed customers who loved their consultants and truly valued the quality of service received from OutSolve.

Over the past 3 ½ years OutSolve has enjoyed tremendous growth by both doubling our client base as well as our staff. Despite our rapid growth, all my initial observations listed above persist today which is a testament to the quality of staff and it’s leadership. It is truly a joy to have been asked to join this company and I look forward to our continued growth and success.

Baldwin Read, Chief Administrative Officer - OutSolve employee since 2014

I started working at OutSolve a month after Hurricane Katrina made its unforgettable mark on New Orleans. This place I called home was under water. My current job at the time was at a standstill and there was a great big unknown for me. Would I relocate, build a new life and start elsewhere? Fortunate for me, my dear friend, Vickie LeNormand, helped answer that question. The super fun, always entertaining, close-knit company that she had spoken so highly of, had an opening. OutSolve, although very much affected by the storm, relentlessly moved forward and I jumped right onboard the fast-track train. We were a small group when I started and now at our 20th year we have quadrupled in size! What an amazing feat. The people who I work for, the people I work with, and the support of our incredible clients have made this company what it is today. I may be biased, but I believe we are unique in this industry. Our work family and values undoubtedly plays a major role to shape, foster and grow our client relationships. Not all of us can say that they enjoy their jobs and I am grateful to say I’m one of those. I am thrilled to be a part of this remarkable team and very much look forward to the next chapter. Cheers!

Annette Alvarado, Dir, Operations - OutSolve employee since 2005

Where do I begin… Hard to believe it’s been 15 years since I first walked through the doors at OutSolve’s office located in mid-city New Orleans. Looking back, I can’t imagine where my life would be right now if I had chosen “Door B”. At that time, there were less than 10 employees. OutSolve has grown and helped me become who I am today. They say you spend about a third of your waking hours at work over the course of a career. For me, it may be a little bit more, but I just can’t help myself. My desire to help my clients and see the successes they achieve through OutSolve’s hard work and dedication makes it all worthwhile. As OutSolve has acquired new talent and increased client base, we have all taken on new and exciting challenges in response to the organizations evolving needs. I show up to work every day excited to see what is around the next corner. I am so grateful to be a part of this team and I can’t wait to see where we will be 20 years from now!
