Lockheed Martin will pay $700,000 to 616 Asian, African American and Hispanic applicants

On January 11, 2021, OFCCP announced that it had entered into an Early Resolution Conciliation Agreement with Lockheed Martin to resolve allegations of hiring discrimination. A compliance evaluation held in the Mid-Atlantic region determined that from January 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, Lockheed Martin discriminated against Asian, African American and Hispanic applicants for software engineer associate, systems engineer staff, member engineering staff, software engineer and systems engineer positions at several locations within the RMS Engineering and Technology unit. Without admitting to the liability, Lockheed Martin agreed to pay $700,000 in back wages and interest to 616 affected applicants not hired for these positions.

This settlement has been added to OFCCP’s Class Member Locator to identify additional potential victims of the alleged discrimination.
