Ma previously worked for EEOC as senior advisor to Commissioner and Acting Chair Stuart Ishimaru
Jacinta S. Ma has returned to the EEOC as the Director of the Office of Communications and Legislative Affairs (OCLA). Ma worked at the EEOC from 2004 to 2011 as a senior advisor to Commissioner and Acting Chair Stuart J. Ishimaru. In her position, she made recommendations for filing litigation, amicus briefs, and appellate decisions in federal discrimination cases. She also collaborated on developing and implementing a Commission-wide initiative on race and oversaw the drafting of the agency plan for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
Recently, Ma worked at the National Immigration Forum as the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy. In this position, she helped develop organizational goals, strategy and policy priorities and collaborated on field and communications strategies.
Ma earned her B.A. degree from University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
