The EEOC announcement will be published in the Federal Register tomorrow indicating that the agency will begin collecting EEO-1 Component 2 data for calendar years 2017 and 2018 in mid-July 2019. All employers with 100 or more employees must submit data on wages and hours worked for both calendar years by September 30, 2019.
The Component 1 EEO-1 report is due on May 31, 2019. EEOC is accepting requests for a two-week extension. Requests can be made to E1.EXTENSIONS@EEOC.GOV. Once a request has been received, the company’s 2018 EEO-1 report deadline will be extended to June 14, 2019. Companies requesting an extension beyond the two week must summarize their issues and the EEO-1 Employer Data Team will provide assistance. The EEO-1 Employer Data Team can be reached at 1-877-392-4647 or 1-866-262-0032 (fax), Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. EST.
