Allegations discovered during a routine compliance evaluation out of the OFCCP Southeast Regional Office
As a result of a routine compliance evaluation out of the OFCCP Southeast Regional office that identified alleged systematic hiring discrimination, Crothall Laundry Services Inc. has agreed to pay $72,000 in back pay and interest to nine affected class members. The company will also evaluate and revise its hiring and selection policies; develop job- develop job-related qualification standards for production positions; and examine and improve its efforts to recruit qualified females and minorities.
OFCCP found that beginning in 2013, Crothall Laundry Services discriminated against 36 female applicants in the hiring and selection process for production positions. The company was also cited with recordkeeping violations and for failing to make good-faith effort to recruit African-American employees.
Crothall Laundry Services is an operating division of Crothall Healthcare and provides laundry and janitorial services to the U.S. Army and Air Force.
