OFCCP Webinar Provides Advice on Timeline and Implementation of New Section 503 and VEVRAA Data Collection Requirements

On December 17, 2013, the U. S. Department of Labor's ("DOL") Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs ("OFCCP") conducted the first in its series of five webinars aimed at assisting Federal contractors and subcontractors in complying with the new regulations implementing Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act ("Section 503") and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act ("VEVRAA"). This first webinar entitled, "VEVRAA & Section 503 Final Rules 'Moving Toward Compliance' Series: Data Collection," concentrated on the timelines for implementation of Section 503 and VEVRAA, especially Subpart C's new Affirmative Action Program ("AAP") requirements, and the contractors' obligations to collect voluntary self-identification forms under both of the new rules.
